Cameras
The retro camera craze continues with the
Sprocket Rocket Camera ($89). Designed to work with standard old 35mm film, the Rocket captures panoramic shots so big that they extend onto the sprocket holes of the film, giving the camera its name and the shots it takes a distinctive look. It also features two shutter settings, two aperture settings, the ability to rewind the film for double exposures, and a hot shoe for flash use.

Munk Bogballe debuted its new Classic Bespoke collection of laptops at the recent Millionaire Fair in Moscow. Assembled in Denmark these luxury computers aren’t as flashy or dolled up as some creations we’ve seen but make a quieter, more sophisticated statement. Each laptop is made to order and options include aluminum (natural or black) or 18 carat gold for the metal surfaces, calf or ostrich leather in a variety of colors for the bottom and accent areas (other exotic leathers may also be available), and your choice of either a row of pave diamonds or single precious ruby, sapphire, or diamond gem to add the final finishing touch. The interior specs aren’t anything amazing but should be sufficient to keep the average user happy. Starting at €5,200 ($7,200) and up.

The Zeal Transcend GPS Goggle ($400-$500) gets around this problem by mounting a micro LCD display right inside the goggles. In addition to showing real-time GPS data, the screen can also offer feedback like speed, latitude/longitude, altitude, vertical distance travelled, total distance travelled, the temperature, and the time, all on a screen that appears to hang roughly six feet in front of you. Glove-friendly buttons and either a polarized or polarized and photochromic lens round out this alpine offering.

Bluetooth

We can’t believe we’re actually saying this, but the Motorola Oasis ($80) may have entered into cool-looking Bluetooth headset territory — a place reserved for very few, if any, others. The Oasis uses a behind-the-ear design, multiple ear gels for a comfortable fit, a small, shiny boom with dual microphones to cancel noise and suppress wind, easy-to-find dedicated call and mute buttons, and MultiPoint technology to let you connect and receive calls from two devices at a time.

In other words, it means business.
The

Still based on Android and offering access to a store library of over two million digital titles, the new Nook features a 7-inch VividView touch screen, 8GB of internal storage, microSD storage expansion, Wi-Fi, a full browser, Pandora, and other applications through the new NOOKdeveloper program — which makes it a whole lot more Apple than Amazon.
